The Art of Trusting In Yourself
Becoming Who You Are Meant To Be
As a child I always knew that I loved to dance; I remember at age 10, I ran to my mother begging her to get me into dance classes. She unfortunately said no, and told me it was a passing phase, and that every little girl has this dream. I trusted HER. She unfortunately passed away soon after, and I had put away that burning passion I had for dance deep inside of myself. It was compartmentalized in a sense, because I still went on to do theatre-which included singing, acting, and theatre dance. I did not begin to take technical dance classes (ballet & Modern) until I was about 24 years old. Now I have been dancing for about 7 years, and have offers for dance concept videos, worked in music videos, performed on stage the past couple of years, and I am able to dance about 23 hours a week... why.. because I LOVE IT!
Being an adult dancer definitely has its perks and downfalls, but I feel as though I am thriving, and have much to share with those of whom are interested in stepping into their love of dance, and becoming who they feel they are meant to be.
Sometimes hearing what others have gone through can truly help put a person's puzzle piece into its correct place.
That is my mission here at LIT FROM WITHIN, I want to inspire you, and to help you see that absolutely anything is possible.
